2021 taught me that I am both tougher than I ever thought, and also softer than I ever thought.

2021 gave me my absolutely highest of high moments, and my lowest of lows. Welcoming Elio in July, a day and birth story I am so proud of. And then a surprise surgery in August with a devastatingly painful recovery. Nine days away from home – where my baby and husband were – while my insides woke up and regained function, and several more weeks of rebuilding strength, confidence, and peace of mind.

2021 has brought me closer to family, and helped me realize that I could never do this life alone. It’s clarified my priorities and helped me find my voice.

2021 has without a doubt been the wildest ride of my life so far, but I’m choosing to focus on the positives, because wow this smile outweighs literally everything else in my life.

2022, I hope you are full of fun, adventures, learning and love with this little family of mine. 💕
